A fantastic opportunity has now arisen for a Payroll Analyst to administer and participate in payroll processing activities for various payroll groups.
Primary work location in Rumst, Belgium, but can also be based in Stockton-On-Tees, UK. Key responsibilities: Prepare, process and balance of payroll and ensure all information received from data interfaces and manual data sources are uploaded to the system without error.
Ensure payments are calculated and paid accurately and timely; ensure proper calculation of taxes and deductions.
Provide customer support to the sites including any off-cycle or replacement payments needed.
Review the information prepared for general ledger entries and other accounting and financial reporting activities associated with payroll.
Participate in the review and preparation of data necessary for the filing of payroll related tax returns and miscellaneous withholding forms.
Complete year end process including year-end adjustments, year-end tax statements and review of year-end tax filing information.
Serve as an internal and external resource on payroll related inquiries. Participate in continuous improvement projects and initiatives; support the development and maintenance of payroll process documentation.
Ensure compliance with internal controls on payroll systems and compliance with tax and other payroll related legislation.
Profiel Skills Able to possess and apply the knowledge of the basic elements of payroll processing.
Understand the importance of finance internal controls within business processes. Familiar with basic elements of finance process documentation and when to apply.
Understand Human Resources information requirements. Able to perform data quality reviews and take corrective actions to ensure data completeness and accuracy.
Familiar with the basic elements of the taxation of employee compensation and benefits and is capable of applying at basic level.
Basic understanding of diversity management concepts and practices. Able to work independently and with minimum supervision.
Solid understanding of Belgium payroll, Belgium employee taxes and Belgium labor law. Fluent in English and Dutch.
Education, Licenses, Certifications College, university, or equivalent degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or related field required.
